Most people often mistake advertising and public relations to be the same. Yes it is true that they go hand-in-hand. However, their goals and focus are very different.

Every advertising campaign has to go through a certain process. Think of it as a check and balance system where the client will give a basic concept to the agency and then let them think of creative ways on how to run with it. Though there are some clients that leave everything to the agency, some would like to get involved and micromanage every detail. If you have an advertising job, do not hesitate to contribute, as your ideas might be put to good use.
