Another misconception that you might have heard is that advertising is fun-filled and all about being glamorous, which is not true at all! Do not believe everything that you see on TV where the people working in advertising just seem to have fun all day and do little or no work at all. Yes, creativity may be fun. However, the work involved is not just sitting around all day talking and drinking coffee.
If you are ambitious though, you can make a lot of money in advertising. But just like any other profession, you need to work your way going up.
