Advertising Misconceptions (Part 1)

There are a lot of misconceptions that clouds the advertising industry. For example, you might have heard that the advertising agencies are usually run by stodgy old men that are only trying to make a buck. This is not true, in fact, these agencies are run by ambitious entrepreneurs that have a goal to make something exciting rather than just make a profit.

Some also thinks that an advertising job is dishonorable and unethical. This isn’t true. Working in advertising is a much esteemed profession. Just because you are trying to persuade people to patronize a certain product does not mean that they are tricking or deceiving everyone. In fact, the last thing that they want is to produce deceptive materials that would harm a client’s reputation.
